The Journal of Binolcular Vision and Ocular Motility (previously the American Orthoptic Journal) was founded in 1950 to enable those in the orthoptic, ophthalmologic and vision science communities to keep abreast of current clinical practice and research in ocular motility and binocular vision. The Journal serves as a forum for the presentation of new material in the fields of pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, amblyopia and strabismus.

In addition to presenting the best of freely submitted articles of a clinical nature, included in each issue are papers presented at regional and national meetings, the Richard G. Scobee Memorial Lecture, the John Pratt-Johnson Lecture, and the Strabismus Symposium presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  The Journal of Binocular Vision and Ocular Motility also publishes abstracts of related literature and state-of-the-art update pieces under the banner, "Everything We Know Today About . . .".

A discounted subscription also is available for members of TCOS, IOA, ARVO, and AAPOS.
