The American Association of Certified Orthoptists (AACO) -- established in 1940 -- is a national organization of approximately 350 highly trained professions who provide critical eye care services throughout the United States.  Orthoptists help to evaluate and treat patients with disorders of the visual system with an emphasis on binocular vision and eye movements. Orthoptists are uniquely skilled in diagnostic techniques.

Each year, the AACO holds its National Educational Conference which provides critical continuing education to its members.  Over the course of three days, practicing orthoptists and students attend instruction courses, scientific sessions and symposia which enhance the skills and knowledge of AACO members.

2020 - A Year of Challenges

Because of the global coronavirus pandemic, like many large gatherings, the AACO conference originally planned for Las Vegas has been converted to an online "virtual" meeting.  The dates are the same as originally planned:  Saturday, November 14 through Monday, November 16.  Over the course of these three days, we will be offering approximately 15 hours of continuing education credit.  We recognize the importance to companies of receiving a "return on investment," and so we have given significant thought to how we can best make your sponsorship of the virtual conference worthwhile.

Corporate Sponsor Opportunities

Ophthalmic companies and those interested in connecting with the orthoptist profession are encouraged to consider exhibitor and other sponsorship opportunities.  Your company's participation in this conference will bring visibility within the profession while providing the AACO with important financial assistance which allows the association to continue offering high-level educational opportunities to members.

This year -- in the "virtual conference" -- we are offering a flat fee sponsorship of $1,000 which provides your company with visibility for all three days of the meeting.  This will include:

  • Prominent visibility on the AACO website with a page for all company sponsors that displays your logo, company contact information and a "request more information" form that our members can complete.
  • Listing in the program book that will be given (in PDF format) to all of our meeting attendees and other AACO members who request it.

  • Company logos displayed to meeting attendees during breaks in the online meeting
